Terms of Service

The rules for using InboxGone during its free private beta.

Effective: 10 August 2026 · Version: private beta

1. Who these terms are with

These Terms govern access to InboxGone, a Gmail cleanup service operated from Portugal. During private testing, legal notices and support requests may be sent to [email protected]. Complete trader and billing details will be published before any paid service is offered.

2. Private beta and eligibility

InboxGone is currently an invitation-only, no-fee beta available to selected testers in Portugal and other supported countries. You must be at least 18 years old, control the Google account you connect, and use the service only for lawful personal or business purposes. You are responsible for ensuring that your use is permitted where you live. Access may be limited, suspended, or withdrawn while testing.

3. What the service does

InboxGone analyzes Gmail data you authorize, presents previews and filters, and performs only the cleanup action you confirm. Depending on your selection, an action may move messages to Trash or remove the Inbox label. InboxGone does not promise permanent storage recovery because Gmail and Google storage calculations remain controlled by Google.

4. Your decisions and backups

You are responsible for reviewing every preview and confirming that the selected messages and action are correct. History and Undo are safety features, not a permanent backup service. Gmail, Google APIs, label availability, retention rules, or account changes may limit restoration. Keep independent copies of messages you cannot afford to lose.

5. Google account permissions

You authorize access through Google OAuth. Read-only permission is used for analysis and preview. Gmail modification permission is requested only for cleanup and restoration features. You may disconnect InboxGone from your Google Account settings, but disconnection may prevent pending cleanup or Undo from completing.

6. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, bypass or test access controls without written permission, attempt to access another user’s account or data, introduce malicious code, submit secrets in support tickets, automate abusive traffic, or use InboxGone in a way that violates Google policies or applicable law.

7. Availability and changes

The beta is provided for evaluation and may contain defects. We may change, pause, or discontinue beta features, impose reasonable limits, or perform maintenance. Material changes to how Google user data is used will require updated disclosure and, where required, renewed consent.

8. No real fees during this version

The private beta may present a Stripe test-mode checkout so invited testers can evaluate the trial, cancellation and subscription experience. Test mode accepts only Stripe test-card details, creates no real charge and is not a live paid subscription. Do not enter real payment-card details. Before live payments begin, InboxGone will publish the final price, renewal, cancellation, refund and EU consumer information and ask users to accept a new version.

9. Disclaimer and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the beta is provided “as is” and without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory EU consumer rights, fraud, wilful misconduct, or liability for death or personal injury where applicable.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using InboxGone and revoke Google access at any time. We may suspend access for security risks, misuse, legal requirements, or breach of these Terms. You may request account and support-data deletion through support, subject to limited retention required for security, legal claims, or compliance.

11. Governing law and disputes

InboxGone is operated from Portugal and may be used by invited testers in other countries. These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not remove any mandatory protection granted by the law of the country where you habitually reside, and nothing in these Terms restricts rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

Please contact support first so we can try to resolve a complaint informally. Any dispute may be brought before the competent Portuguese courts, except where mandatory consumer law allows you to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence or requires another forum. Alternative-dispute information and complete trader details will be published before any paid public launch.

Where applicable, the legal framework includes Portuguese rules for information-society services under Decree-Law no. 7/2004 and, when paid distance contracts are introduced, the pre-contract information and withdrawal rules in Decree-Law no. 24/2014, including Articles 4, 5, 10 and 17. These references do not limit any other mandatory rights under Portuguese or EU law.
